Alagbole- Akute flyover initially abandoned after Amosun re-election

While February 14 is no doubt a day set aside in expressing love, the residents of Akute, Agbado, Alagbole could not have wished for more as they got a surprise valentine visitation gift from the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun on Sunday 14 February, 2016.

While the roads and flyovers being constructed in the axis seem to have been abandoned and thereby becoming an headache to the residents and motorists, the governor, who visited the 32km Sango-Ijoko-Ojodu Abiodun Road to inspect the pace of work, promised to complete the project very soon.

In a statement signed by Adejuwon Soyinka, Senior Special Assistant (Media) to the Ogun State Governor, Senator Amosun expressed his commitment towards completing all ongoing road construction projects in the state.

The 32km Sango-Ijoko-Ojodu Abiodun road has not less than five bridges located at Yakoyo, Akute, Abule Ekun, Agbado and Ijoko areas.

The bridges at Agbado, Akute and Ijoko are flyovers while the remaining two bridges are over water.

Soyinka said construction work on this important project has continued unabated.
