It was indeed a great success as Nigeria’s leading Digital Marketing training centre, Toolz Academy has concluded the second in the series of the 2017 free Digital Marketing training, #GoDigital4free.
Held on April 7, 2017 at Toolz Academy training centre at Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja the 2-day free training which was attended by over 50 people gave the attendees vast opportunities available for digital reinvention for the future.
According to Olufunke Akinloye, the company’s Chief Learning Officer, “the training is our own little way of helping our country prepare for a future that would be purely eco-digital”.
Whilst ‘Digital’ is a universal language, Toolz Academy has partnered with Street Toolz Ltd and Digital Marketing Institute [DMI], Ireland, to create a Digital Marketing syllabus that is Nigeria-centric.
The training is our own little way of helping our country prepare for a future that would be purely eco-digital, Akinloye said.
Akinloye continued: “Toolz Academy is tapping into the expertise and competence of Street Toolz, Nigeria’s foremost Digital agency, and DMI to educate anyone that cares, on the great digital marketing opportunities that are opening up every day in the world and how to take advantage of these opportunities.
“We understand that many more digitally-educated minds would be needed in the workplace in the very near future,” Akinloye added.
For starters, the participants evaluated themselves on their digital marketing status, an examination that enabled the facilitators to properly understand the challenges faced by the participants.
One of the participants, Chinelo Ujubuom, afterwards said the training was an eye-opener. “It was very enlightening. I knew next to nothing about digital marketing but with the two-day free training, I have some understanding that would help my new business.
And corroborating the power of new media, Ujubuom revealed she got the free training information from the Internet. “Nobody told me – I saw it and it was God-sent. It was what I needed at the right time.
“I hope to come back to take the more comprehensive course so that I stop all my supposed assumptions.”
“After this two-day training, I will recommend Toolz Academy to anyone desirous of a digital marketing training – Michael Olakunle.
Another of the participants, Michael Olakunle is interested in doing a fuller because he knows the future would be totally digital. “I got to know about the training through an online search because I am aware that the future belongs to digital marketing.
Olakunle continued, “For me, I have learnt a lot about digital marketing and I am willing to learn more. I will definitely be coming back for the PDDM [Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing] in May.
“After this two-day training, I will recommend Toolz Academy to anyone desirous of a digital marketing training. They know what they say they know and even much more,” he added.
The free training continued with a specific class in Digital Journalism scheduled for April 21 at Triton House, 29 Adeniyi Jones.
There are also openings for short courses in Social Media Marketing, SEO/SEM and Content Marketing with a new diet of classes beginning on April 25.
