The Portfolio Manager – International Premium Brands, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Sampson Oloche, has been seconded to the Brewer’s parent company Heineken, Holland on international assignment.
Sampson, a 1998 Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Economics graduate of Ahmadu Bello University joined Nigerian Breweries in 2005 as Brand Manager, Events and Sponsorships – STAR and functioned in that capacity till 2007.
Thereafter, he was promoted Snr. Brand Manager with responsibility for Star between 2008 – Dec 2012. He later became Marketing Manager – Non-Alcoholic Drinks and functioned in that capacity Jan 2013 – Nov 2014.
Armed with local and international trainings coupled with outstanding experience garnered on the job, Sampson became Head – Consumer and Market Intelligence, Media & Digital in 2014. His responsibilities spanned all brands in the company’s portfolio.
According to his Linkedin profile, he is an experienced brand marketer with experience across major brand functions, cutting-edge communications development, innovations, consumer insights and project management.
Oloche has a fine grasp of brand profitability and a commercially oriented marketing strategist with a proven ability to deliver top line growth.
Apart from his numerous Heinekens international trainings, he also holds Master of Science (M.Sc.) Global Management from the University of Salford and Harvard Business School’s Strategic Marketing Management (Executive Education). In 2011, he was at the London Business School for an Executive programme in Market Driving Strategies.
Sampson at the industry association level is the Publicity Secretary on the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) was last weekend sent forth on his new posting by his Nigerian Breweries’ colleagues and associates.
