Following the recent redeployment of its senior officers, Assistant Corps Marshal Shehu Zaki has assumed office as the new Zonal Commanding Officer for Zone RS2 of the Federal Road Safety Corps, comprising Lagos and Ogun State.
Zaki took over from his predecessor, ACM Nseobong Charles Akpabio MON, who is now on a course at the Nigeria Defence Academy, Abuja.
ACM Shehu A Zaki has served in various capacities of the Corps among which are Commanding Officer in over 10 Commands, Corps Provost Officer, Corps Intelligence Officer, Head Monitoring and Evaluation National Headquarter Officer among others.
In his maiden address to staff on resumption in Lagos on Monday 26th September 2016, Zaki said that he believes in leaving legacies behind wherever he works and therefore will welcome innovations and creativity to move the Zone forward.
Speaking on the implementation of speed limiter commencing 1st October, 2016, the new Zonal commander appealed to the public to comply.
While noting that the last quarter of the year is usually the pinnacle of operations in the Corps, he charged staff to put in more effort in ensuring a successful Ember Month Operation.
On a final note, the Zonal Commanding Officer charged every staff to be diligent in their duties, come up with new initiatives to achieve different and better results.
